Rooney Misses Training

Man United striker Wayne Rooney has missed training today ahead of United’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow tomorrow. Wayne’s wife Coleen Rooney was due to give birth to their first child over a week ago.

There is a good chance that Wayne will be missing for the game tomorrow. United have a 100% record so far so it won’t be such a big miss, I am sure Michael Owen is capable of filling in.

Rooney wasn’t the only big name missing during today’s training. Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Dimitar Berbatov and Ryan Giggs were also missing.

*UPDATE*

Late last night, Coleen checked into the hospital with Wayne and overnight bags alongside her. There has been no official announcement but hopefully everything goes well.

Congratulations to Wayne and Coleen. Coleen has given birth to a baby boy. He has been named Kye Wayne Rooney. I am not quite sure of the spelling.

Kai Wayne Rooney was born at 13.45 today (Monday 2nd October) at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. His proud father Wayne is a doubt to play in United's Champions League game against CSKA Moscow.
